Pott. Co. Pedal Palooza is a free, exciting open-to-the-community bike festival designed to promote bicycle safety for kids and adults and provide a fun-filled day for families. Attendees can expect a variety of engaging activities, including:
• Bike Parade: Featuring tricycles and decorated bikes, perfect for kids to showcase their creativity.
• Bike Rodeo: An obstacle course to test and improve biking skills.
• Guided Community Bike Ride: Hit the trails with seasoned community cyclists for a fun, easy bike ride around Shawnee.
• Bike Decorating Station: Get creative with bike decorations provided by Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art
• Bike Repair Station: Get your bike checked and tuned up for free by Spokelahoma.
• Bike Ride: Join a comfortable, family-friendly community bike ride to kick off the day's events.
• Bike Giveaway: KidsAction will be giving away bikes to lucky participants.
• Complete Streets Demonstration: Learn about safer, more inclusive street designs for all users with ODOT, BE, and Pogo.
• Face Painting and Lawn Games: Fun activities for families.
• Helmet Check and Giveaway: Ensuring everyone rides safely with proper helmet fittings and free helmets, courtesy of KidsAction and First United Bank.
• Safety Trivia: Test your bike-pedestrian safety knowledge with fun trivia.
• Live Music and Food Trucks
The event aims to foster community spirit while emphasizing the importance of bicycle safety and healthy living.
